
Jess Bailey
Jess is the recipient of a Pinnacle Award from Houston Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce 2012 Starlight Business Awards.
Jess practices law in the following areas; profit and non-profit entity
formation, business and non-profit general counsel, contract drafting
and negotiation, wills, trusts, pet trusts, estate planning, and real
estate transactions. She serves several industries including: energy,
consulting, software and information technology, real estate,
healthcare, media and photography, fashion and design.
Before becoming an attorney, she gained experience in real estate
mortgage and property management, complex banking instruments, small
business finance, environmental consulting and university campus
services. These industries gave Jess extensive practice in a diversity
of contracts and negotiations. She has a proven record of providing
quality customer service on a day-to-day basis.
Jess has skills in explaining the law, technical fields and complex
issues to an array of audiences. She has a varied educational background
including, business, science and the law; allowing her to assess
challenges from different viewpoints in order to successfully calculate
solutions. Jess believes a lawyer should be part of the team in making a
business successful, not just an outsider to call after a problem
arises.
She currently serves on the board as a Director for Texas Association of
Environmental Professionals (TAEP) and as Board Member and Secretary
for North Houston Economic Development Council. Furthermore, Jess is
also the Designated Member Representative for Houston Intercontinental
Chamber of Commerce (HICC) for the Alliance of North Houston Chamber of
Commerce (ANHOC). She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Lone Star
College System Paralegal Program and Co-Chairs the Committee for the
Environmental Challenges and Innovations Conference hosted by TAEP.
Jess obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Biology from University of Missouri in St. Louis. She has a dual Masters of Science from Nova Southeastern University (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) in Coastal Zone Management and Marine Environmental Science. She obtained her law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
